Oxford Corpus of Academic English (OCAE)

The Oxford Corpus of Academic English (OCAE) is a text corpus consisted of undergraduate textbooks and academic journals oriented on four main subject areas of physical sciences, life sciences, social sciences, and humanities. The OCAE corpus contains 85 million words and enables lexicographers to examine the meaning and use of words in academic writing.

OCAE Access Policy

Access restricted unless special permission granted.

Permission from Oxford University Press is required to get access to the corpus. Researchers may contact <OL-ProgrammeGroup@oup.com>. You need to include a brief summary of your research project. Please add a note you would like to access the corpus in Sketch Engine, including your user name in Sketch Engine. (This is a manual process that may take several days.)
