A tagset is a list of part-of-speech tags (POS tags for short), i.e. labels used to indicate the part of speech and sometimes also other grammatical categories (case, tense etc.) of each token in a text corpus.
Italian corpora annotated by the FreeLing morphological tagger tool are tagged with this Italian FreeLing part-of-speech tagset based on the proposals by EAGLES, which intends to enable encode all existing morphological features for most European languages.
